Hotel chain transformation
In my combined role as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Commercial Officer at an international hotel organization, I was responsible for the integrated management of both operations and commercial disciplines. The head office was restructured, with clear responsibilities assigned for operations, sales, marketing, revenue management, HR, and business intelligence, ensuring better alignment between management and decision-making across the entire chain.
During the COVID-19 crisis, I led the organization through successive closures and reopenings, implementing targeted cost reduction measures and scenario planning while safeguarding quality, safety, and employee engagement. Simultaneously, pricing, capacity, and efficiency initiatives were implemented, contributing to structurally stronger commercial performance and more manageable operations post-crisis.

International Venue Management
At an international live entertainment organization, I was responsible for managing and further developing a portfolio of theaters in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy, used for both permanent productions and commercial events and external programming. I developed a multi-year growth strategy and translated it into concrete initiatives in the areas of revenue optimization, cost control, and operational efficiency, with demonstrable improvements in revenue and margins.
In addition, KPI structures and data-driven management models have been introduced, contributing to improved decision-making and predictable results. Within an international matrix organization, I guided local teams and management teams in translating strategy into actionable projects, with clear priorities, ownership, and consistent execution across multiple countries.

Boardmember Meeting Professionals International
Board member of the International Board of Directors (IBOD) of Meeting Professionals International (MPI). The IBOD is MPI's highest governing body and is responsible for establishing the organization's mission and strategic plan, as well as providing overall financial and governance oversight. MPI is the world's largest association for the meetings and events industry, dedicated to promoting education, elevating meetings and events, facilitating a global network, and representing the voice of the industry.
In addition, I am a Board Liasion member of MPI’s Sustainability Council, where I advise on sustainability and MPI’s role within it.
